A & B Buchan is a family run business, initially set up by Alec and Barbara Buchan in 1967 and joined by Stephen & Sharon (Son and Daughter), who became Partners in 1990.
We retain an average manual workforce of 20, each holding CSCS Cards, with many of them having spent over 25 years in our employment along with 2 full time Office Administration Assistants.
We became a member of the Flat Roofing Alliance in 1990 and are registered with the Construction Industry Training Board.
We are Approved Applicators by various Roofing Manufacturers, including Sarnafi Ltd, Protan UK Ltd, Icopal Ltd, Ruberiod Building Products Ltd, and several others.
Our customers are from both the Private and Public Sector, including Local Authorities and Healthcare Services, Architects, Aberdeen University, Scottish Prison Service, Grampian Fire Brigade, British Trust Hotels, Major Construction Companies and many others.
The geographical area covered is all over Scotland including the Orkney, Shetland and Western Isles and occasionally down over the Borders.
Over the last couple of years we are very proud to say that we have successfully been involved with some of the largest Roofing Contracts carried out by us, these include the Hanger Refurbishment at RAF Lossiemouth and New build of the Inverness Medical Centre. |
